National launch of Alice Springs Future Grid

Alice Springs Future Grid was launched on Friday August 14, with press releases from Federal Energy Minister Angus Taylor and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).

The Depart­ment of Indus­try, Sci­ence, Ener­gy and Resources is a major fun­der of the project under the Region­al and Remote Com­mu­ni­ties Reli­a­bil­i­ty Fund — Micro­grids pro­gram.
The project is sup­port­ed by ARE­NA, as part of the Advanc­ing Renew­ables Pro­gram. The remain­ing fund­ing is com­ing from Intyal­heme, through sup­port from the North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry Gov­ern­ment, as well as cash and in-kind con­tri­bu­tions from Project Participants.
